FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONs
Placing an order-
Orders are placed via phone, messaging, email, or consultation. We do not have a set price for our cakes since they are all custom creations, our pricing is based off of serving size, ingredient cost, and amount of work/detail. The final price of your cake will depend on design, flavors chosen, and fillings. Your order is not on our books until a deposit has been paid AND a contract has been signed, please keep in mind that we do operate on a first come, first serve basis. Your order must be paid in full the week prior to your event (4 weeks’ prior for weddings), at this time we only accept Paypal and cash. No checks will be honored. All deposits are non-refundable. Please be sure to book your cake early, we only have a limited number of cakes we create per week. It can take weeks to prepare for your custom design, and endless hours to create, no changes can be made to your order after 1 week prior.
Whether you have a photo for inspiration, or would like us to custom design a sketch for you, we can make it happen! We want to be sure you love the design of your custom creation! This process can be elongated so if meeting in person for a consultation is easier for you we can work with your schedule. At this time we do not offer sheet cakes, cake pops, or cookies.
Consultations and tastings-
We would love to meet with you to design something custom for your special occasion! Some things to consider are: How many guests will be attending? What is your budget? Please remember to bring any color swatches, invitations, or design inspiration you may have.
If you would like to schedule a tasting pick up, your cost will be $45 and will include 3 premium flavors to taste. We do need advance notice to ensure we have your sample ready. Here at Simply Sugar we create everything from scratch so the flavor options will be based off our selection or your custom selection after reviewing our menu.
We offer free delivery for your custom creation if you are local, if not local we do charge a small fee. Please remember that we have multiple deliveries scheduled per day so we may run behind or ahead of schedule. If you are expecting a delivery, please provide us with the phone number of someone who will be in charge of accepting your delivery. Once your cake has been delivered and accepted it is no longer our responsibility of what happens to your cake.
Once you have paid your deposit and signed your contract, you are on our books. Should you need to cancel your order, we will need at least 2 weeks’ notice (2 months for weddings) and your paid deposit is non-refundable.
We always want to make sure our clients are pleased with their custom cakes! We spend hours and weeks planning, creating, and ensuring our creations are exactly what you dreamed of! Please understand if you are asking us to re-create someone else’s work, the design, (as long as it’s not copyrighted) may have subtle differences since each artist has different skills or styles. Please note that once a cake has been accepted or served, NO refunds will be given.
